Meet the Bees

Sup? Told you I'd be back in the morning. (post cover by a friend as a meme they made two years ago (jeeze...))
For the first ACTUAL devlog of the sequel, I plan on introducing you all to the characters! There are five of them (six if you count the hive tower, but that's just a source of honey)
For our first character, meet Ginger! (She/Her)

Ginger is a hard working soldier bee, ten time winner of the monthly honey spitting competition and two time winner of the annual headbutting competition. She spits globs of acidic honey at her foes, taking them down with ease from a distance.
Next up is Chamomile! (She/They)

Chamomile is a lazy teen bee, so unbelievably lazy and apathetic they make everyone around them more lethargic. (Maybe I should blame her for the long period of inactivity?) They use their sheer apathy aura to slow down foes, making them easier for others to attack.
Next we have Sage! (They/Them)

Sage is the protector of the kingdom, vigilante and self-proclaimed superhero all in one. Their secret identity remains unknown, and while they're not that strong, their resilience means they're still a welcome addition to the team. They use their boxing gloves to punch back any and all foes that approach, a relentless storm of admittedly weak punches that still pack enough force to push back even the tankiest foes.
Next up is Hawthorne! (He/They)

Hawthorne is a cyborg, built by top bee scientists to defend the kingdom from threats. He's a little experimental, and prone to overheating both literally and emotionally, but his incredibly powerful laser systems make him a powerful addition to the team. While he takes some time to cool down after each blast, his laser systems incinerate a single foe with one shot.
Finally, we have Fern! (He/Him)

Fern is a bee from the amber age, frozen in a crystalized chunk of amber for who knows how long. He's still adjusting to the modern age, and mostly communicates with grunts, but his skill with a spear is not to be denied.
As a bonus, I may as well introduce the hive tower. (no pronouns, it is a beehive)

The hive is your primary source of Honey, the fuel for all five towers. Do what Herb does best and carry that honey around, making sure your towers are always stocked up, because without honey, none of them do anything!
